Mississippi has a rich history when it comes to soccer. In this early episode, we talk with Dickens Fournet, a St. Joe and Mississippi State alum who took part in the state's first ever high school all star game. Dickens is now a CPA with GranthamPoole in Ridgeland, Mississippi, but the beautiful game has taken him all over.

When I had the chance to sit and talk with Dickens Fournet, it went from a “happenstance” to a treasure trove of Mississippi soccer history.

We're officially kicking this thing off. Host Robert Chapman gives a little bit of an overview of what his vision is for this new project. 

The plan for this, here podcast is to host as many conversations as possible with the people who have helped make soccer in Mississippi what it is today as well as those who are shouldering its future.

I figured with the start of the Mississippi Soccer Channel, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to give a quick glance backwards towards the season that was 2025-2026 for all of our academic institutions who participate in soccer.

Here we go with a new project aimed at building bridges across the massive network that is Mississippi Soccer.
